Anna Of The North

Anna Of The North has been slipping out the odd track here and there for the last couple of years. You know, whatever, no pressure. There’s not a lot of them, but they are good. Now added to the pile is new single ‘Baby’, which pre-empts a European tour supporting Kygo.

A little brighter in tone than her previous releases, it nonetheless stays within the icy, downbeat realms of pop, although it does thaw out slowly as the song progresses, revealing something of an 80s-esque ballad. And whereas Anna Of The North’s previous tracks marked her out as someone to keep an eye on, with this record she becomes a truly intriguing new artist.

You’ll be able to catch her (and Kygo) in the UK later this month in Glasgow, Manchester and then two nights at the Brixton Academy.
