CMU Approved
Approved: Fort Romeau
By Andy Malt | Published on Thursday 14 January 2016
Following on from last year’s ‘Insides’ album on Ghostly International, Fort Romeau returns this week with a new EP, ‘Secrets & Lies’, this time through the Live At Robert Johnson label.
Since the start of the year, the house producer has shunted out two tracks from the new EP, and both see him on top form, knocking anything and everything from ‘Insides’ out of the way and charging forward in terms of quality.
The latest upload, the EP’s title track, is a nine minute sonic journey, which takes in soulful acid synths and watery percussion along the way. ‘Seventyfour’, meanwhile, is a mini sci-fi epic, put to good use soundtracking footage from ‘Repo Man’ in its video.
