Girl Ray

Girl Ray self-released their debut single, ‘I’ll Make This Fun’ back in April. Now, ahead of tour dates with Slow Club and Haley Bonar, the band have announced that they will release the follow-up, ‘Trouble’, through the Moshi Moshi Singles Club on 25 Nov.

Carrying on the dreamy indie-pop theme of that first track, ‘Trouble’ rides on a rolling bassline and slow slices of guitar, as vocalist Poppy Hankin sings about “apathy and hating yourself for trying to win pointless arguments in snakey ways”.

“It’s about turning into someone you don’t like”, the band add. But hopefully they’re still keen on how the band is turning out, cos I’d like some more of the same quite soon.
