Made up of ex-Wu Lyf, Famy, Ménage à Trois and Francis Lung members, Los Porcos emerged a couple of years ago with double A-side single ‘Sunshine/CFW’. Since then there’s been the odd remix here and new track there, but now they’ve re-emerged properly with new EP ‘Porco Mio’ on French label Cracki Records.
The five tracks of laid-back funk – or “disco pig house”, as they call it – that make up the EP are infectiously upbeat. Following a strong start with instrumental opener ‘Porc Noise Complaint’, the momentum remains strong across the record’s 20 minutes. Hopefully they can keep that up with further releases soon.
