Parc en Ciel

Multi-instrumentalist and producer Mathieu Thomas releases his debut album as Parc en Ciel – ‘Path Integral’ – this week through LuckyMe.

The listed influences for the record are scientific discovery, the natural world and harmony, while the album’s title is a reference to theoretical physicist Dr Richard Feynman, whose work apparently inspired the album as a whole. And I can confirm that, even if none of that really means anything to you, the music is still enjoyable. Good job.

The lead single from the album is ‘pH’, which takes a relaxed tour through guitar noodling and wobbly electronics, tying itself together with a regimented beat and firm synth melodies that dive-bomb the more ethereal elements into submission.
