Approved: Tkay Maidza

Having spent this year touring with the likes of Mark Ronson, Years & Years and Charli XCX, Australia rapper Tkay Maidza recently signed record deals with Kitsune in Europe and Downtown in the US.
She’s now set to release her new single, ‘Ghost’, on 4 Dec, produced by George Maple, What So Not and Baauer. The track is built with numerous twists and turns, with hard-edged verses held aloft by a heavy drum track, before switching to a more open and poppy chorus, with both sides gradually drawing together.
Once you’ve checked out that, it’s also worth visiting her slightly less polished ‘Switch Tape’ EP from last year, and her appearance on ‘DKLA’ from Troye Sivan’s ‘Wild’ EP.
