CMU Approved
Approved: Trash Kit
By Aly Barchi | Published on Wednesday 8 October 2014
A CMU SNAP Of The Day (you remember that nonsense, right?) back when the day was 6 Oct and the year 2009, London-based DIY flag-fliers Trash Kit have risen again, almost exactly five years later, with a rattly new track titled ‘Medicine’, the lead dose off their second LP, ‘Confidence’, which will make itself known on 1 Dec via Upset The Rhythm.
In certain ways pretty easily filed away in an aisle beside (Trash Kit vocalist Rachel Aggs’ rival band, the also CMU approved) Shopping, ‘Medicine’ is nevertheless a specialist item in its own right, finding Aggs et al hemmed in by a circle of spears tipped with scathing punk guitars and poison brass.
