Bigo & Twigetti artists create collaborative EP over 48 hours
By Andy Malt | Published on Wednesday 4 March 2015
Classical futurist label Bigo & Twigetti last weekend had three of its artists – Jim Perkins, Leah Kardos and Jules Dickens – create an EP of new music over the space of 48 hours, releasing it all online yesterday.
The label explains: “Each artist has created an initial track of harmony, drones, beats etc and sent their track to the next artist, who in the following hours added to, manipulated and transformed it before passing their work to the next artist and so on. Once the track had been transformed by all artists, the last contributor finalised the track and sent it off for mastering”.
Now available to buy on Bandcamp, the ‘Forty Eight’ EP features three instrumental tracks each bearing the marks of the three collaborators’ different styles, showcasing Bigo & Twigetti’s own innovative approach to classical and electronic music.
