Other notable announcements and developments today…

• Andrew Lloyd Webber, through his Really Useful Company, has partnered with Concord Bicycle Music to form new theatrical music rights management company, Musical Company. “We are extremely enthusiastic”, says Webber.

• Music publisher Sony/ATV has promoted LA-based Tyler Childs and Lou Al-Chamaa to the roles of VP Creative and Senior Director Creative respectively. “Integral”, says their boss, Rick Krim. And he’s right, you know.

• Sainsbury’s has announced that it will start selling vinyl records in more stores around the UK. The supermarket, which jumped on the vinyl bandwagon earlier this year, will distribute a number of new vinyl titles to its shops tomorrow, including a Michael Buble silver coloured exclusive. What a time to be alive!

• Lego will release a ‘Yellow Submarine’ set, based on The Beatles’ 1968 animated film, on 1 Nov. The idea was submitted by a member of the public, which you can read more about here. You can watch a little video of the set in action here.

• Former Klaxons frontman James Righton has announced his first album in new solo guise Shock Machine. It’ll be out in February, and here’s the first single from it, ‘Lost In The Mystery’.

• King Creosote has released the video for new single ‘Love Life’. He’ll be touring in January, with shows all over the shop, including one at the Barbican in London on 22 Jan.

• Hot on the heels of Hannah Diamond’s new single, PC Music has announced that it will release new compilation, ‘PC Music Vol 2’, on 18 Nov. To mark the release there’ll be an event at Heaven in London on 30 Nov, and at Berghain in Berlin on 1 Dec.

• Aesop Rock has released the video for new single, ‘Shrunk’.

• Noisia have released the video for new single, ‘Mantra’. Here are some music video facts.

• Nils Bech has released new single ‘Glimpse Of Hope’, and the video for previous single ‘Please Stay’. His new album, ‘Echo’, is out tomorrow.
