Dizzee Rascal

Other notable announcements and developments today…

• Dizzee Rascal is following his grisly last video ‘Couple Of Stacks’ with a kung fu-inspired new one for a track titled ‘Pagans’. It’s watchable via noisey.com/dizzee.

• Synthpop sprite Little Boots is now showing her new video for ‘Taste It’, one of four tracks on her arriving-on-1-Dec new EP ‘Business Pleasure’. Like the song itself, says Boots, the vid “comments on some of the trappings of modern day addictions in a fun way”. Join the fun now c/o the fun world of YouTube.

• Thrashy American pop-rock band Cherry Glazerr have released a new single titled ‘Had Ten Dollaz’/’Nurse Ratched’. Stream A-side ‘…Dollaz’ freely here.

• Big-haired hip pop pairing Lion Babe have shared the official visual equivalent to their Childish Bambino-featuring hit ‘Jump Hi’. Seriously, everybody needs to see singer Jillian Hervey’s hair. Do so now.

• Charli XCX has climbed into some kind of pop time machine and gone way, way back to the 80s to collaborate with Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon on ‘Kingdom’, an airy track off of the Lorde-curated OST to the forthcoming ‘Hunger Games’ film. Listen now.

• Snoop DoggLionMan has confirmed two shows on 11 and 12 Dec, at the Bristol and Leeds Academies respectively, at which he will remind fans of his ‘classic hip hop hits’. Obtain tickets via Snoop’s official live page.

• Herculean pop idol Olly Murs has announced a 2015 spring tour of the UK in a YouTube clip. In it, Olly and his band ‘jam’ to a brassy cover of the ‘Rocky’ movie theme, then he jokingly says that the band can’t join him for the shows, and they make believe that they’re sad. It’s unmissable, basically, so watch it here to learn more…

• The Who will play the British Summer Time thingamy in Hyde Park next June. Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Marr will be there for the ride. I think they’ll all sing too. Takes place on 26 Jun. Taylor Swift will headline the next day, which had already been announced, though I don’t know if we reported on it. And checking the recent CMU archives for Taylor Swift stories is quite a task at the moment.

• Download 2015 headliners you say? Slipknot for Friday, with Judas Priest as main support and Black Stone Cherry topping the second stage bill. “Boom”, as they say. They do say that, right? Well, I just said it. More at downloadfestival.co.uk
