Diplo in cahoots with Madonna and AlunaGeorge

Dancehall/anything producer Diplo has had his paws all over collaborations with AlunaGeorge and Madonna. Also, following confirmation that Madonna has worked with Avicii in some capacity, a photo of AlunaGeorge’s Aluna Francis in the studio with none other than the very same Avicii has gone online, pissing off a lot of ‘purist’ AlunaGeorge fans. So basically, Madonna and AlunaGeorge have each written, in a respective sense, tracks with Diplo and – again, separately – Avicii. Oh, and AlunaGeorge have nearly finished making their next LP! We live in exhilarating times.
So, Madonna’s going first because, um, Madonna always has to go first. Big M, who’s been writing with popstar Natalia Kills lately too, dished the Diplo scoop (if one can dish a scoop) on Instagram, taking a photo in a toilet, and typing: “Diplo is a slave driver! Got me working all hours of the night in the studio. Had to sneak into the bathroom! #clicclacclicclacbitchgetoffmyback”.
Moving on quickly to AlunaGeorge’s big anti-Avicii scandal of 2014, as above, Aluna Francis had a nice little chat with some AG Facebook fans after posting an in-studio pic of her and the Swedish EDM producer. Replying to one ‘hater’ who asked “what are you working with this idiot for?”, Francis said: “He’s a fan of AlunaGeorge, we don’t discriminate, music is for everyone. Don’t be mean”, adding: “We have nearly finished our next album, which is entirely our own, a little help from our dear friend Diplo on one track, which we love and are excited about”.
And that’s that. If anyone wants more and still more Diplo, the Mad Decent boss gave away a nine track pack of free bootlegs earlier this week, to celebrate one million ‘likes’ on his Facebook page. ‘DL’ the pack right now::
