Paul Weller revealed on the Xfm Breakfast Show this morning that he will play a show at the 100 Club on Oxford Street on 20 May. The show will fall between previously announced London at Bush Hall in Shepherds Bush and Dingwall’s in Camden on 19 and 21 May respectively.

Discussing the venue, Weller said: “It’s like a place that’s been frozen in time, but in a good way, in a nice way! But you do get a sense of history. So many different people have played there over the decades. So there’s a definite sense of history in that place I think. It’s in the walls and the decor”.

Host Jon Holmes also asked the former Jam frontman about his next solo album, about which Weller said: “We’ve done sort of half the record, but we probably won’t get a chance to finish it or do any more to it until September/October time because we’ve got gigs hop until then. I guess [it’ll] probably [be released] early next year, spring next year”.

And The Antlers have just gone public on a tour also. The autumnal shows, which will go to promote the band’s new LP, ‘Familiars’, start on 22 Oct at the Old Market in Brighton, and wind on till 2 Nov at Leeds’ Belgrave Music Hall. They play live at London’s Hackney Empire on 24 Oct as part of the tour and as a favour to Transgressive Records, who are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year.
