Talking of HMV, the high street music store have announced that they have had an upturn in their fortunes, with sales up by around 12.2% for the quarter up to 1 Sep, which is nice for a sector that has been so dogged with misfortune of late.
That said, it’s possibly not so much good news for the record industry, given that strong sales in DVDs and video games seem to be behind the upturn.
