Pixies add new dates, new Kim on bass

Pixies have listed new live dates to match their first new single in nine years, ‘Bagboy’, which premiered last week. The band will hit Ireland and Great Britain in November, playing shows in Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow and London. Oh yeah, and they’ve replaced ex-bassist Kim Deal with a new Kim: Kim Shattuck of The Pandoras and The Muffs.
Black Francis says: “Along with everyone’s favourites, we’ll be playing songs that we haven’t played in ages or never played live before. Songs like ‘Brick Is Red,’ ‘Havalina’, ‘Tony’s Theme’ and ‘Sad Punk’. We’ve probably rehearsed some 80 songs, so we’ll be able to change up the set at the last minute if we feel like it. We’re all really looking forward to this tour”.
