Rounding up the latest release news…

Guess what. Multi-functional alt-pop dork Tom Vek (pictured) is back! And fortunately, has announced a third album titled ‘Luck’, which as fate (and his label, Moshi Moshi) would have it, is out on 9 Jun. Its tracklisting is available to scan on iTunes, as is a stream of its lead track ‘Sherman (Animals In The Jungle)’, as is a link to order the long player now, which, if you click it, will grant you an automatic download of that first track.

You can also follow Tom’s thoughts whilst (and post) making the LP, the tone of which he sums up as “bratty smartass”, via this exclusive Dazed article. Indefinable XL signing Willis Earl Beal has carried on his slightly frantic string of releases – some planned, some not so much – with a surprise LP titled ‘Curious Cool’. Hot-footing January’s unanticipated album ‘A Place That Doesn’t Exist’, aka his way of saying ‘sorry’ for some postponed tour dates, the new eight-tracker is available to hear in its entirety right this minute, on SoundCloud:

Dance duo Duck Sauce, aka DJs A-Trak and Armand Van Helden, have shared two alternate mixes of their new single ‘NRG’, which is officially landing with a splat on Monday. Skrillex, Kill The Noise and Milo & Otis take care of one, whilst the other is the work of young Hudson Mohawke. Stream the remixes beside the ‘NRG radio edit here:

Punk/hip-hop/spoken word unionists Warrenpeace, signings to Mr Scroobius Pip’s Speech Development label, will on 2 Jun put out ‘SDR007’, the duo’s first LP.

Rather than go with a standard comp of clips, Warrenpeace’s Buddy Peace and Worgie filmed its trailer in a live rehearsal. This live rehearsal:
