London band Savages have joined Yeah Yeah Yeahs in requesting that fans don’t use their mobile phones to film their gigs.

As previously reported, Yeah Yeah Yeahs posted up a sign at New York venue Webster Hall earlier this month requesting that audience members “put that shit away”.

Displaying a similar, though more polite, sign at their performance at Neumos in Seattle, Savages wrote: “Our goal is to discover better ways of living and experiencing music. We believe that the use of phones to film and take pictures during a gig prevents all of us from totally immersing ourselves. Let’s make this evening special. Silence your phones”.
