The Wanted

The Wanted have announced that they will take a break from each other after they complete their upcoming March tour dates. They’re definitely not splitting up though, they’re just going to “pursue personal endeavours” for a while.

Announcing the news yesterday, the group’s website said: “This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour’s conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour”.

And that’s not a statement that sounds like several lawyers have been at it, does it? Rumours that something wasn’t right in the Wanted camp began to circulate last year, after their third album, ‘Word Of Mouth’, failed to meet sales expectations and a European tour was cancelled. As a result, the ‘World Of Mouth World Tour’ (a name they seem to be sticking with) now numbers just nine dates in the UK. They will be playing the Dubai Jazz Festival in February though.
