1D, Miley, Drake and Bieber make Forbes’ ’30 Under 30′ cut
By Aly Barchi | Published on Wednesday 8 January 2014
Forbes has just published its ’30 Under 30′ lists for 2014, one of which is devoted to ‘music’s brightest young stars’.
On the artistic side, One Direction, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Drake, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Calvin Harris and Lorde are all predictably on the list, which is determined by expert panellists ex Def Jam premier Kevin Liles, Live Nation’s reigning CEO Michael Rapino, and John (Hall &) Oates, and isn’t ranked.
Influential business figures also tipped by the business mag include Grooveshark co-bosses Sam Tarantino and Josh Greenberg (somewhat controversially – given the ongoing disputes over rights and takedowns), BandPage man James Sider, streaming app Songza’s dream team Peter Asbill and Elliott Breece, and Tunezy entrepreneur Derek Fung.
So well done to them. Read the Forbes’ full ’30 Under 30′ music list here.
