1D’s Harry Styles writing with 1R’s Ryan Tedder

One Direction’s Harry Styles has a hot new relationship on the boil – a songwriting one, that is – with Ryan Tedder of inspirational band OneRepublic.
Whilst the latter has worked with 1D as a band in the past, writing ‘Midnight Memories’ track ‘Right Now’, a source is supposed to have told The Sun this is the first time that Har-Ry have collaborated ‘one-on-one’, so to speak, adding: “There’s a mutual appreciation there. If there’s one person to get the best out of Harry, it’s Ryan. The new relationship will come in handy if Harry does try his hand at going solo”. Yes, I expect it will. If he does. Which he hasn’t. Yet.
Harry and Ryan’s time ‘in the lab’ is only a drop in the ocean of 1D’s collaborative writing forays of late, though, what with Louis and Liam’s recent writing ‘sesh’ with Good Charlotte, and Harry’s studio-liaison with Kodaline. Nor are 1D Tedder’s only writing clients. In fact, Ryan hit the headlines earlier this week via news that he’d been getting creative with Adele, saying re her distant-seeming third LP: “She will deliver the album on her own timetable, at her own pace, and the only person that will ever declare it finished will be her, when she decides it’s finished”.
