AC/DC plot album, 40 show world tour

AC/DC may at last have come up with a follow up to 2008’s ‘Black Ice’ LP, which, if it’s out soon, would nicely mark the fortieth anniversary of the band’s first single, 1974’s ‘Can I Sit Next To You, Girl’. Frontman Brian Johnson has said that the plan is to start making a new album in May, with a 40 show world tour to follow.
Talking with radio host Andy Preston via Florida station Gater 98.7 on Valentines Day, Johnson said: “One of our boys was pretty ill, so we didn’t like to say anything and we’re very private about things like this… But I think we’ll be going into the studio in May in Vancouver. Which means, we should be getting ready”.
Of the tour, he said: “I think we’re gonna try to do 40 gigs, 40 shows, to thank the fans for their undying loyalty”.
