ADA UK chief gets global responsibilities

Warner Music’s Alternative Distribution Alliance yesterday announced that the MD of its UK division, Susan Rush, will add management of the ADA Global division to her remit. She will oversee the continued roll out of the distribution operation globally and look to ensure more integration between the UK and Global teams.

Rush’s promotion comes as two execs leave the company, SVP International Colleen Theis and Financial Controller Michael Enright. Lots of other people in the ADA operation will also get new job titles in the new year, which is good news for their business card printers if nothing else.

Warner’s Mike Jbara told CMU: “Since setting up ADA UK in 2006, Susan has taken the business from strength to strength. Susan is acutely attuned to the indie community and consistently delivers solutions scaled to the individual and diverse needs of our partner labels. Expanding Susan’s remit will enhance the service we can offer on a global basis and the role we can play in a label’s long term development in their home territory and beyond”.

Rush rushed him (ha, see what I did there, this is comedy gold people) and added: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to continue the work started by Colleen and Michael and to be leading the integrated ADA UK and Global into the next phase of its evolution. I look forward to maintaining our unwavering commitment to label and artist development and focusing on adapting and refining our strategy and operation to ensure that we continue to offer our partners the best possible opportunities in the global market”.
