Approved: A Night With… A Guy Called Gerald

Last year the A Night With… franchise put on a great series of DJ sets, with Sebo K, X-Press 2, MANDY, Soul Clap, Seth Troxler, Greg Wilson, Sasha and Jamie Jones all taking up the challenge to play for eight hours with no support. This Saturday, it’s the turn of the great Gerald Simpson, aka A Guy Called Gerald.
A key figure in dance music since the 80s, former 808 State member Gerald was instrumental in bringing techno, acid house, jungle and more into the UK club scene. This gargantuan set should be an interesting and extended display of his ‘True School Manifesto’.
