Christa Palazzolo and Sarah Brown were, until late last year, members of Austin dream poppers Sleep ∞ Over. Having departed that band, they’ve formed this new one which sounds a lot like, um, Austin dream poppers Sleep ∞ Over. Or at least how Sleep ∞ Over sounded before they left. Maybe this is unsurprising, considering they made up two thirds of that band.
Anyway, the duo released their eponymous debut EP via Bandcamp in January. Washed almost out of existence with reverb, their songs are filled with ethereal vocals and slow moving synth lines that sound like they were recorded direct from dreams. Their next scheduled release is a single called ‘Lovedropper’ through increasingly impressive Italian indie label Hell, Yes! on 16 May. An album is also planned via the same label later this summer.
