Collard

Following a series of self-released singles over the last couple of years, singer-songwriter Collard is set to release his debut album, ‘Unholy’, in May. “‘Unholy’ is just the first chapter”, he says. “I’m already thinking about the next one”.

Not wanting to get ahead of himself though, he’s still very much in promotion mode for his debut. Following recent single ‘Warrior Cry’, he’s now back with Kojey Radical collaboration ‘Ground Control’ and its accompanying video.

“The ‘Ground Control’ visual is a depiction of me battling with my own demons and feelings as if I’m forever followed and seduced by a devilish, Mephistopheles like character [played by Radical]”, Collard says of the video.

“Through many conversations with my creative directors [Eseosa Ohen and Joseph Shaw]”, he goes on, “we all agreed we wanted to take a more theatrical route in terms of the production to extenuate as much as possible the feeling of danger and self-enabled helplessness which led me down the destructive path the song is based on”.
