Approved: Creams
By Andy Malt | Published on Thursday 27 April 2023
Creams is back with new single ‘Almighty’ – her second track of the year following ‘Need To Talk’ in February.
The slow-paced, eery-sounding alt-pop track builds a tense atmosphere for lyrics musing on power and resilience. Accompanying the single is a lyric video in which Creams aims to use visuals to build further on the themes of the song.
“The main object in the lyric video is the silver rose, which serves as a symbol of being almighty, undefeated, and eternal, much like the rose made of silver”, she says. “The concept is highly contrasting, as I sing about being almighty while lying in a graveyard with a pale, corpse-like face. The irony of this contrast is something that I love about the concept”.
