Approved: Fifty Grand

A member of the Team Sesh collective and, more recently, The Red Mirror, producer Fifty Grand has released new solo track ‘Dedication Chant’.
He’s a producer who has been in much demand among rappers on the underground scene in recent years, with the dark trap sound he’s developed alongside producers and fellow Red Mirror members King Yosef, Kellbender, Ginseng, Hellion and Prxz.
‘Dedication Chant’ is like other records in Fifty Grand’s solo catalogue, in that when he places his own voice on top of the music he produces, you get an even more otherworldly sound.
“This song serves as the intro to the 50k mixtape, which is a rap/hip hop side project of mine”, says the producer. “I spent hours in the lab processing and editing the video with visual artist Hightosis”.
That mixtape is set for release in May. Meanwhile the video, which certainly adds another dimension to the track, can be viewed right now:
