Approved: Fufanu

Following on from their debut single, ‘Circus Life’, back in April, Icelandic post-punk band Fufanu will release their new EP, ‘Adjust To The Light’, on 29 Jun through One Little Indian.
The stand out track on the EP is opener ‘Will We Last’, a dark song with a thick atmosphere created by rubbing guitar and vocal melodies angrily together. Closing track ‘City Lights’ does something similar, but with a feel more sleepy than angry; a synth drone queasily stumbles around you as the guitar is shakily jabbed at.
The band will be in London next week for a headline show at Birthdays in Dalston on 15 Jun, followed by various support slots around town leading up to a position on the bill of Blur’s British Summer Time Hyde Park show on 20 Jun.
