Approved: Julietta
By Andy Malt | Published on Thursday 16 March 2017
Julietta released a couple of good singles back in 2015, ‘Conquest’ and ‘Goosebumps’. After that, in 2016, she turned in a few guest spots on other people’s tracks, but releases in her own right dried up. Now she’s back with ‘Beach Break’, a track crafted with producer Jack Goodman while in Maderas, Nicaragua.
“I was supposed to head down to Maderas alone for ten days to unwind”, she explains to Milk. “Before heading down to Nicaragua, I met this producer/musician named Jack Goodman. He mesmerised me with his raw tracks that were sitting and waiting for someone to write to them, and so I made him a little/big proposition. I asked him if in five days from that moment, he would come down to Maderas with me to work on those tracks”.
I guess I’ve already given away the fact that he said yes, so let’s move on. The first track to come out of those sessions is the aforementioned ‘Beach Break’, a track as warm and relaxing as the title suggests. The only downside is that you have to head back to reality before you’re ready. Watch the video here:
