An item since 2005, Argentinian triad Las Kellies’ last LP, ‘Kellies’, specialised in a shifting mix of vistas, switching its sights from girl-gang rock chanson ‘Suffisant’, to the riot grrrlish ‘Prince In Blue’, and a loyal take on post-discoites ESG’s no-wave staple ‘Erase You’.

The present day Las Kellies have ditched a bit of that hyper-eclecticism, achieving a greater evenness evident in new singles ‘Golden Love’ and ‘Melting Ice’, which preview their new LP, ‘Total Exposure’. Each dices the band’s erstwhile basslines with slip n slide eighties reggae vibes that are all new, and all pleasing to hear.

‘Total Exposure’ (all playable here) is released 16 Sep via Fire Records, with the band set to make the first in a line of British live dates at the Brixton Windmill this Friday.
