Formed by Iranian singer-songwriter Nava Golchini and Italian producer Francesco Fugazza in 2016, Nava’s line-up was subsequently filled out by Elia Pastori and Marco Fugazza. With a bold sound that blends Persian influences with experimental electronic music, they’ve just released their debut single, ‘Ritual’, through Italian label Factory Flaws.
“‘Ritual’ is tribal. It portrays Nava’s animalistic raw soul, let loose in the urban jungle it’s trapped in”, the band tell The Line Of Best Fit. “It’s an industrial piece, a modern tune but influenced by Farzaneh Kaboli’s Persian visceral dance”.
