Park Hotel recently released their dark disco debut single, ‘Gone As A Friend’, through Fierce Panda. The duo, comprising Tim Abbey and Rebeca Marcos-Rosa, explore a dimly lit world in the track, captured in its video.
‘Gone As A Friend’ is driven by a circling rhythm, on top of which other elements of the song rest, slowly built up in layers. Abbey and Marcos-Rosa’s vocals lock together while retaining a sense of detachment from each other, which adds to the overall mood and tone.
