Approved: Planet V & Samurai Music at Cable
By Paul Vig | Published on Friday 12 October 2012
Two great dance labels from opposite sides of the planet will take over London’s Cable this weekend: representing the UK is Bryan Gee’s V Recordings while coming in from New Zealand is Presha’s Samurai Music. Both label chiefs will take to the decks, plus they’ll each be bringing an impressive posse of friends with them.
Representing V will be DJ Die, JJ Frost, Artificial Intelligence, Serum, Savage Rehab, Ruffstuff and the mighty still-on-form Roni Size. There will be live PAs from Dr Meaker and David Boomah, plus some MC action from Deefa and Moose AD. From Samurai, look out for DJ sets from Marcus Intalex, Klute, Break, Loxy and Skeptical, plus SP:MC, DRS and 2Shy on MC duties.
Two great labels, one great night, as the flyer should have said.
Saturday 13 Oct, Cable, 33A Bermondsey St, London SE1, 10pm-6am, £13 in advance, £15 on the door, more at www.cable-london.com
