Approved: RebekkaMaria – Winter Winterkill (Rasmus Hedegaard Remix)

RebekkaMaria’s debut album, ‘Sister Sortie’, was one of my favourites of last year. Sadly, it’s still to be released properly in this country, but if you can find it (as far as I know, it’s only available on iTunes) you’ll be treated to a mix of pop songs that dip their toes into both mainstream and more leftfield sounds.
One of the standout tracks from that album, ‘Winter Winterkill’, has just been twisted from dark-edged disco into ominous house by DJ, producer and fellow Dane Rasmus Hedegaard, who took time off from writing and recording his debut album with American songwriter Brandon Beal.
