Sazzie – aka Sarah McIntosh – first gained recognition as The Good Natured, before label politics left that particular project in eternal limbo. Back to working solo, her latest guise sees her yet again crafting tight to the point pop songs, with a wry – perhaps even a little cynical – sense of humour.
Having released her debut single, ‘Do You Work Out?’, featuring Mix Master Mike, last year, Sazzie is back with her second offering, ‘WTF (Pop Culture)’. With a strong 80s influence, the song tackles social media, celebrity romances and bust-ups, #MeToo and a touch of politics. It also features plenty of the two things you can never have enough of in pop – lists and swearing. It’s a welcome return from someone whose return is always welcome.
