Approved: Sea Change
By Andy Malt | Published on Tuesday 13 May 2014
Born in Norway, now living in Berlin, singer-producer Ellen AW Sunde, aka Sea Change, has been eking out tracks via SoundCloud for the last couple of years, and more recently allowing some of them to escape as self-released singles.
Joining the dreamy, atmospheric ‘Bursting’ and ‘Let’s Dance’ now is ‘Bridges’, perhaps Sunde’s strongest recording to date. Led by a thumb piano melody and a forceful snare drum, it builds softly to an enveloping pop soundscape.
Following a series of shows at last weekend’s Great Escape, the Sea Change bus will arrive in London on Thursday (15 May) for a performance at Birthdays in Dalston.
