Newly signed to Beth Shalom Records, Sleemo have just released their first single for the label – ‘Dog’ – a track packed with riffs that capture the essence of their powerful live performances.
Following on from two EP releases – 2020’s ‘Mutation Of’ and ‘2021’s ‘Degradation’ – this is hopefully a sign of more to come from the band in 2023.
“’Dog’ is a song about people getting too involved in a friendship/relationship, creating rumours and fake stories which can crumble that relationship”, say the band.
“A person shouldn’t be speaking on behalf of someone else”, they add, “everyone can speak for themselves, but some people find the need to slither their way into any situation to make it worse without knowing the full context of what’s going on with that said person. Some people can’t live with what they’ve got so they involve themselves in other people’s lives for some excitement”.
