Approved: Sugarstone

Having released a handful of singles and built up a strong live reputation in recent years, Sugarstone have this week released their debut EP. A real development in their approach, it builds on a previous 80s-inspired synth-pop sound and weaves in heavier riffs with infectious and invigorating results.
“We’ve been playing these songs live for a while now and it feels so good to have them on a record that finally represents the volatility of our live show and sound”, say the band.
Previous singles from the EP, ‘That’s Intense’ and ‘Happiness Is Hard To Find’, set the tone for the release, which as a whole is a cohesive and fully formed collection of tracks that sets them up as a band that should very much be on your radar as we head into ‘ones to watch’ season.
The band are playing a free EP launch show at the Eagle Inn in Salford tonight.
