Approved: Wavves – Sail To The Sun

Freed at last from all distractions, Wavves’ Nathan Williams and band are playing as one once again. To affirm that, they’ve released new single ‘Sail To The Sun’, as was taped for a tba LP engineered by MIA/Santigold (and, amazingly, Shakira) collaborator Mike Hill.
An unmistakably Wavves-ian paean to living fast and high (and dying soon after), the track isn’t going to be much of an epiphany to anyone au fait with 2010’s ‘King Of The Beach’. But speaking as a fan of that, it’s gratifying to hear Williams et al haven’t changed.
