Approved: Young Yizzy

Lewisham grime MC Young Yizzy has just released his debut EP, ‘This Is Life’. The five track collection is a bold start from the rapper, with smart, insightful lyrics delivered with a confidence that’s already brought him a long way.
The EP’s title track, also its first single, works as something of an origin story, laying out his history and a desire to make a better life for himself. Meanwhile future single ‘Bodied On A Beat’ does more to show off his dexterity as a rapper and diversity in his delivery.
Away from that, he’s also just been announced as one of the finalists of this year’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition.
