Arcade Fire single due next month

Arcade Fire will release a new twelve inch single on 1 Jun, according to reports. A listing for a single entitled ‘Suburbs/Months Of May’ appeared on Amazon US yesterday, and then a message from the band confirming that they are up to something appeared on their website.
The release, despite only currently being available on the American Amazon website, is listed as an ‘import’, implying it will be released somewhere other than the US. Meanwhile, one Arcade Fire blog claims that a “band rep” has said that the published title is completely wrong. Yes, I am trying to build a bit of mystery and possibly even a conspiracy theory into this story.
What’s fairly certain is that a release really is coming soon. The band also posted on their official website yesterday: “Howdy, y’all. Just finishing up pressing our new twelve inch. Should be in stores in the next couple weeks. God willing”.
