Artists queue up for War Child Bowie tribute

LA-based indie label Manimal has announced details of a David Bowie tribute album, entitled ‘We Were So Turned On: A Tribute To David Bowie’, which will be released on 11 Oct, with proceeds going to War Child. Amongst the artists who have recorded their own versions of Bowie songs are Duran Duran, Devendra Banhart (under the name Megapuss), A Place To Bury Strangers, Chairlift, Vivian Girls, Carla Bruni, Warpaint and Caroline Weeks.
