Bauer moves London radio operations into Absolute HQ
By Chris Cooke | Published on Thursday 27 March 2014
As has been expected for a while, Bauer Media yesterday announced it will move its London-based radio stations into One Golden Square, the home of Absolute Radio, which became part of the Bauer empire last year. The building will be revamped to house the Magic, Kiss, Planet Rock, Kerrang! and Heat stations in addition to Absolute itself.
Confirming Bauer’s non-Absolute radio operations would be leaving their current base at Mappin House, Bauer Radio MD London Steve Parkinson told reporters: “One Golden Square is an iconic radio location, known to the media industry and audiences alike. Having the national radio teams in one building will support our business objectives to drive initiatives and ideas across the Bauer Media group, and to build audiences and revenue”.
