The new Kiss-branded service launched by Bauer Media back in May, Kiss Fresh, got a boost yesterday when it appeared on the radio section of the Freeview platform.

Kiss Fresh, so far available via the Kiss website and apps, has a focus on newer talent within the Kiss brand’s domain of urban and dance music, and features amongst other things one-hour mixes by new DJs and specials dedicated to one artist.

Confirming the expansion of Kiss Fresh to Freeview, Andy Roberts, Group Programme Director at Kiss, told CMU: “This increased distribution for Kiss Fresh is firmly in line with our ambition to grow the Kiss brand across multiple platforms. Kiss Fresh has had a successful launch and can now champion new music and artists to even bigger audiences across the UK. It’s yet another example of Kiss’ successful ‘Hear It, See It, Share It’ strategy to push content across platforms people want and to be ‘always on’ in all the right places”.

Kiss Fresh will replace Smash Hits Radio on the Freeview platform, with the one time pop-mag brand now limited to the Bauer/Channel 4-operated music channel that uses the name.
