Bee Gee recovering after stomach surgery
By CMU Editorial | Published on Tuesday 7 September 2010
Robin Gibb of The Bee Gees is reportedly recovering well after undergoing emergency stomach surgery. The singer was allegedly rushed to hospital after complaining of abdominal pain last month.
Gibb’s twin brother Maurice died in 2003 when he suffered a cardiac arrest during surgery to correct an intestinal blockage.
An unnamed source told Globe magazine: “The similarities with Maurice’s tragic death were eerily worrying. Everyone was praying there wasn’t something in their genes that made both twins susceptible to some deadly condition. Thankfully he’s home and feeling much better, but doctors are still examining test results”.
The source also claimed that plans for a tour at the end of this year have been put on hold.
