The Black Lips

Wild Atlanta rock pack Black Lips have kicked Mark Ronson and his brass trimmings to one side, and made a new LP with Patrick Carney of the Black Keys. Its title is ‘Under The Rainbow’, and it follows 2011’s Ronson-produced ‘Arabia Mountain’.

Gassing with Rolling Stone, Black Lips bassist Jared Swilley sums the album up as “roots music” with “traditional influences”, adding: “I don’t think making records gets any easier. It almost seems like the first one is the easiest because you haven’t really used many ideas at that point so almost everything is new to you”.

And here’s a thing that’s new, the ‘Under The Rainbow’ tracklisting, which in lieu of an actual track will have to do as a preview:

Drive By Buddy
Smiling
Make You Mine
Funny
Dorner Party
Justice After All
Boys in the Wood
Waiting
Do the Vibrate
I Don’t Wanna Go Home
Dandelion Dust
Dog Years
