Brixton Academy to let punters back stage
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 17 September 2010
London’s iconic Brixton Academy has announced that it will be opening up its back doors this Sunday for normal folks to come and have a nose around, as part of Open House London 2010.
Regular tours of the 81 year old building will be given between 10am and 1pm on 19 Sep, giving you the chance to get a closer look at the venue’s art deco features and auditorium, without a load of sweaty gig-goers getting in your way. And, more importantly, you’ll be able to see all the places where rockstars have been sick.
Organised by Open-City, Open House London 2010 will also see other architecturally significant London buildings open to the public this weekend.
