Bruce Springsteen releasing new LP featuring Tom Morello
By Aly Barchi | Published on Tuesday 26 November 2013
Bruce Springsteen will on 13 Jan release his eighteenth studio album ‘High Hopes’, a mix of new titles, re-recordings of his own unreleased songs, and covers, that takes its title from a song written by Tim Scott McConnell of LA band The Havalinas, a live favourite of Bruce’s.
As well as the E Street Band and multiple guests, it heavily features Tom Morello, who stood in for regular E Street guitarist Steve Van Zandt on the group’s recent tour of Australia, and who, Springsteen says, was his “muse” whilst he was making the new LP.
Springsteen writes in its liner notes: “This is music I always felt needed to be released. I felt they all deserved a home and a hearing”.
