Capital FM’s long-serving Head Of Music Mark Findlay is moving to a new group-wide role with the station’s owners Global Radio, with the title of Group Head Of Live Music. In his new post he will still have a role in playlisting at the radio giant, but also book artists for all of the company’s live events.

Findlay’s move comes as Robert D’Ovidio is appointed Managing Editor of Capital FM in London, a role he has been fulfilling in an acting capacity since his predecessor James Brownlow left in December. Mike Parker, currently Network Producer for Capital, will become Deputy Managing Editor.

Says Global’s Director Of Broadcasting Richard Park: “Robert D’Ovidio and Mike Parker have been integral to Capital FM’s success, both in London and across the network. We are delighted to promote them to these new key roles and know that their enthusiasm, vision and wealth of experience will help drive the station to the next level. Mark Findlay’s move to a group role allows him to build on his existing role group wide within an exciting central content team at Global Group programming”.
