Chainsmokers let fans choose tour dates
By Andy Malt | Published on Wednesday 4 November 2015
The Chainsmokers – you know, the ones who released that track ‘#Selfie’ – are going on tour. Not just any tour though. A tour where fans decide where they go. “The first ever fan-sourced tour”, they’re claiming. Though I’m sure that can’t actually be true.
Anyway, it’ll be a six date tour of US universities. The dates and locations are yet to be determined. All the duo have announced is that they will perform at the first six campuses to sell 800 tickets.
“As artists especially, we want to go to the markets we have the most demand and getting that data or figuring out the best way isn’t always easy”, explained Chainsmoker Alex Pall to USA Today. “So this really puts the power in the hands of our fans and that’s really exciting for us!”
Information on the tour and how to pitch for a show can be found here.
