Chris Moyles not returning to radio
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 20 September 2013
Chris Moyles has said that he currently has no plans to return to radio, as he prepares to take up his role in the upcoming arena touring production of ‘Jesus Chris Superstar’, where he will again play King Herod.
Interviewed on ‘This Morning’, Moyles said: “I’ve just decided that I’m going to take break for a while because I did [radio] for so long. I’m having a nice break from it all. I kind of feel like I’ve closed that chapter of my book and now I’ll do something else. I never say never, but for the foreseeable future, no”.
There has been much speculation about Chris Moyles’ radio future since his departure from Radio 1 last year (and, indeed, before it). Rumour had it that the original plan was for him to move elsewhere within BBC Radio, but talks stalled as Moyles lost enthusiasm for other possible radio projects.
